Hi, I'm Dale.

For most of my life, I've been a shop teacher. Along the way, I also served as a principal and later as a superintendent. But after several years as a superintendent, I realized how much I missed working directly with students, so I returned to the woodshop.

Today, I'm still teaching shop, and I've even signed my contract for another year.

No matter what my title has been, the best part of every job has always been helping people learn new skills, solve problems, and discover they were capable of more than they believed.

As I began thinking more seriously about retirement, I found myself asking the same question many educators eventually ask...

"What's next?"

I'm not looking for another full-time job.

I'm not trying to escape teaching.

I simply want to be ready for the next chapter of my life.

I want purpose.

I want flexibility.

And I want to begin building another source of income before retirement, so I can step into that next chapter with more freedom and more confidence.

Then I ran into something I never expected.

It's not my age.

It's technology.

There were days I honestly wondered if I was simply too old to learn all this technology. Every new website, every app, and every piece of technology seemed to overwhelm me. It often made me feel like I was starting all over again, and if I'm being honest, it made me anxious.
